Indigenous Students

Indigenous Tuition Program (ITP)

The Indigenous Tuition Program (ITP) is an academic initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet (DPMC) which aims to improve educational outcomes for Indigenous students by providing supplementary tuition.

ITP is funded by DPMC and is administered by Nura Gili.

ITP functions as an acknowledgement of educational disadvantage, providing supplementary tutorial support to Indigenous Australians in order to increase participation and graduation rates. The scheme enables Indigenous Australian students to access up to a maximum of 1 hour per week per subject additional tutorial assistance during the teaching period.

A new ITP website is under construction!

We are working hard on implementing a new website for the administration of the Indigenous Tutoring Program to be live in October 2018.

Students:

Don’t fear, ITP still exists!

We are working hard on establishing a new and more efficient system for ITP. It will assist us in matching and monitoring, and help Nura Gili to become more environmentally friendly.

All students will be sent an email when the new system is up and running.

If you require tutoring for S2 2018, or Summer 18/19 ITP please get in touch with your relevant Academic Support Officer, or the team at itas@unsw.edu.au

New Tutors:

To be notified when the new website is available, please email itas@unsw.edu.au with the subject line ‘Please notify me of new ITP system’ and we will let you know when the new system is available.
