Indigenous Students

Indigenous Tuition Program (ITP)

The Indigenous Tuition Program (ITP) is an academic initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet (DPMC) which aims to improve educational outcomes for Indigenous students by providing supplementary tuition.

ITP is funded by DPMC and is administered by Nura Gili.

ITP functions as an acknowledgement of educational disadvantage, providing supplementary tutorial support to Indigenous Australians in order to increase participation and graduation rates. The scheme enables Indigenous Australian students to access up to a maximum of 2 hours per week per subject additional tutorial assistance during the teaching period and up to a maximum of 5 hours in total during the examination period.

Indigenous students enrolled at UNSW are encouraged to utilise ITP. For more information ring 02 9385 3805 or email itas@unsw.edu.au
